Ezio Auditore da Firenze is widely regarded as the most loved protagonist of the entire Assassin’s Creed series and arguably one of the most easily recognizable protagonists in all of modern video gaming, joining the ranks of Isaac Clarke and Master Chief. The character brought an excellent balance of roguish charm, loyalty to his family, and other admirable traits that everyone else in the series seems to fall behind on in comparison. With Ubisofttaking a breakfrom the Assassin’s Creed games this year, the least they could do to supplement December’s new Assassin’s Creed movie is re-release Ezio’s adventures on next-gen consoles.
(Maybe don’t watch this trailer if you haven’t played the games yet and wanted to pick up the collection. There are some spoilers in there.)
Ubisoft has officially announced The Ezio Collection, which is exactly what it sounds like. The collection includes Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, as well as all of the DLC that came out for those games. It’s also worth noting that, at some retailers (Gamestop and Amazon are two of them), grabbing the Ezio Collection is going to score you a free ticket for the Assassin’s Creed movie coming out in December. For just $59.99, this is a pretty solid value on both the collection and admittance to the new film.
If you’ve never played any of these games – or even if you’re just a fan who wants to seem them remastered – you should give this a look. It releases on November 15th in the US and November 17th in the EU, giving you plenty of time to think it over.
Assassin’s Creed seems like it’s going to be receiving a serious face lift next year, so now is a great time to get acquainted with the amazing trilogy-series before major changes occur in the franchise.
