Microsoft has just released several classic arcade video games on theXbox One, Pac-man, its sequel Ms. Pac-Man, Galager, and Dig Dug.

All four games are presented in specially designed frames that contain the classic gameplay, and each has scanline and sound settings that can either modernize the presentation or mimic the way each game originally looked back when they were released in the early 1980s.

Here’s the official description for Pac-man:

First appearing in arcades in 1980, the masterpiece PAC-MAN finally comes to Xbox One!

Move PAC-MAN up, down, left, and right to eat all the Pac-Dots, while avoiding the ghosts, to advance to the next stage.

With simple rules but deep gameplay, it’s easy to see why the adorable PAC-MAN took the world by storm!

PAC-MAN was awarded the Guinness World Record in 2005 for being the most successful coin-operated arcade machine in history.

Microsoft has also released theArcade Game Series 3-in-1 Packwhich contains Pac-man, Galager, and Dig Dug all for the price of two games. Ms. Pac-man’s absence from the pack does seem a little strange but since her game is often regarded as superior to the original Pac-man, those involved in the marketing may have simply assumed that most gamers were already going to buy her game anyway.
