Volta Charging currently holds a free, electric vehicle charging network that services high-profile properties in big US cities such as San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Honolulu and Chicago. To expand its offering, the charging network will soon integrate Microsoft Azure to optimize performance and provide brands exclusive access to audiences via tailored advertising.
According to Volta’spress release, the company’s network will leverage the Azure cloud platform to “exhibit brands’ digital content at high-traffic public locations, showcasing interactive and demographically relevant, targeted media on Volta’s charging stations’ digital displays.” Precisely, Microsoft’s Azure live analytics data allow Volta to integrate interactive media resulting in increased user engagement for advertisers. The EV charging network also adds that it has a proprietary algorithm that can recognize viewer demographics and use that information to serve hyper-relevant media in real-time.
Microsoft Corporate Vice President of Developer Platform & Evangelism and Chief Evangelist Steven Guggenheimer shared in the press release:
“Microsoft is working with our partners around the world to discover and implement innovative ways to transition to a sustainable, low-carbon future for our planet. Volta EV charging stations utilizing Microsoft Azure media services, machine learning and analytics inspires such sustainable behavior that brands can use to support their retail strategy.”
If you plan to attend the NAB show in Las Vegas this week, Volta will be exhibiting the Volta EV Charging Station within the Microsoft booth. For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
