As seen above, the announcement about the build roll out was made by Mike Ybarra on Twitter. It is worth noting, though, that to currently receive this initial Preview build you need toalready bea part of the Xbox Preview program, which an invite only program.

As we reported previously, the preview build is expected to be a doozy. Over time, it is promising to bring Cortana to Xbox One, a new Game Collection Interface, aunified Xbox and Windows Store, a more personal activity feed, and much more.  Additionally, Major Nelson also confirmed that Microsoft will be merging the Windows Insider Program with the Xbox One Preview Program to “streamline feedback and updates.” An opt-in program will also let fans choose how they want to participate and help the Xbox team gather feedback those new features before the public release later in the summer.
