The officialWindows 10 Fitbit apphas just updated with added support forMicrosoft’s Xbox One video game console. The app has been released in the Universal Windows Platform app format for a while now but has been restricted to functionality on Windows 10 devices, such as the Surface Pro, and smartphones running Windows 10 Mobile. This Xbox One app is essentially the same app on Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile and runs on the same code. Due to this, the app’s appearance on the console looks identical to that seen on Windows 10 PCs with the only difference being its inability to sync to Fitbit devices, most likely due to the hardware limitations of the Xbox One hardware.

With the inability to sync to Fitbit devices, the Xbox OneFitbit app’s main purpose is to check data and leaderboardsafter a device has synced to the cloud via another connected device. Users with the app already installed on other devices should find it in the Ready to Install section of their Xbox One while everyone else can grab it in the Apps section of the Store on the console.

Do you have the Fitbit app installed on your Xbox One? Let us know what you think about it in the comments below.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
