In case you still didn’t upgrade your Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, Microsoft lets you to know that it really wants you to do so. Namely, the company just released two updates for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, which make it easier for all genuine Windows 7/Windows 8.1 users to upgrade to Windows 10.
KB3112343 and KB3112336 Updates Are Here to Make Your Upgrade to Windows 10 Easier
The update for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 goes by the code ofKB3112343, while the update for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 isKB3112336. Both updates basically do the same thing, only the operating system is different.
As we already mentioned, the purpose of these updates is to give you a few more upgrade options, and convince you to switch to Windows 10 as soon as possible.
“This update enables support for additional upgrade scenarios from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10, and provides a smoother experience when you have to retry an operating system upgrade because of certain failure conditions. This update also improves the ability of Microsoft to monitor the quality of the upgrade experience.”
Microsoft decided to release an update for older versions of Windows, besides releasingThreshold 2 for Windows 10, and the first update for Visual Studio 2015. But the only new feature that this update is bringing to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 is an easier way to upgrade to Windows 10, as we didn’t notice any other changes to the system.
