Microsoft’sBuild 2016event was chock full of information for developers across all of the company’s various product lines. Considering everything encompassed by “cloud-first, mobile-first,” that generates a ton of material. While most of the sessions focused on the tools being made available to developers, Windows 10 wasn’t ignored, and we learned quite a bit about what’s going on with theWindows Insiderprogram.

As everyone who’s been following along is likely aware, Gabe Aul is the King of the Big Red Button for the Windows Insider program and is the face of everything that’s new and different with Windows 10. As the Windows Insider program gets merged with the Xbox Review program this summer, Gabe will gain even more notoriety.

Yesterday at Build, the Windows Insider team put together a talk that goes into a number of details behind the Windows Insider program and is well worth the time. For example, the program was initially developed to handle a total of 400,000 Insiders, which was switched at the last minute to be an open-ended program that has grown to millions of users–over 7,000,000, to be more precise.

If you’re a Windows Insider, then you’ll appreciate the work that’s gone into make the program so successful. As we head into summer and the upcomingWindows 10 Anniversary Update, things will likely get even hotter and heavier.
