HP just announced two new monitors, the Z24m and Z24q. Both devices feature 23.8-inch QHD displays with 90Hz refresh rates. The primary difference between the monitors is that the Z24m has a pop-up camera and other features for video conferencing, but the Z24q does not.

HP built the Z24 with virtual communication in mind. It has a 5MP pop-up camera, dual noise-canceling microphones, and dual speakers. It also supports HP Presence and includes Auto Lock and Awake, thanks to a proximity sensor. Our Cale Hunt wrote a completebreakdown of human presence detection, which is a handy resource for catching up if you haven’t used the feature before.

The specs of the two monitors are largely the same, apart from the fact that the Z24m has conferencing features while the Z24q does not. HP’s spec tables for the monitors show a difference in port selection as well.
