Microsoft’s most current web browser Internet Explorer 11 is now the most popular web-surfing tool out there. According to the latest stats from analyst firm Net Applications, Internet Explorer 11 has climbed up the order to take the baton from the widespread Internet Explorer 8 to claim the number 1 spot. Let’s see how other browsers did last month.
Internet Explorer browser has maintained the top spot in the browser space. Internet Explorer 8, the default browser in Windows 7, however, is no longer the most popular IE version. The browser saw a decline from 22.2% it had atthe end of Septemberto 17.31%. The Internet Explorer 11 browser gained a significant number of users helping it go up from 17.13% to 24.05%.
Among other browsers, Internet Explorer 9 saw a drop from 9.34% to 8.68%, while Internet Explorer 10 gained a few points going up from 5.58% to 6.09%. Looking at Microsoft’s rival browsers, the recently released Chrome v38 now has 6.75% of the share, while the v37 accounts for 6.4% of share. Firefox v32 also gained a few users going up from 5.94% to 7.76%.
