When theXbox One versionof the Windows 10 Anniversary Update dropped over the weekend, it brought support for Cortana, support for Windows 10 UWP apps to the Xbox One Console, and so much more.  In the few days since launch, not many UWP apps have been released or ported over to the public build of the Xbox One, but a post seen on Redditnow hints at the releaseof a new more apps soon.

As seen above, the Windows Store listing for the Weather Channel App displays an Icon which mentions that the app itself is available on Xbox. So, to the Reddit user, this indicates that the app may supported on Xbox in the near future.  Another Reddit user in the same thread, however, also discovered the same “available on Xbox” icon on many other apps, including  Fitbit, Dropbox, Viber, Roku, and Calculator.

This could both be a glitch in the Unified Windows Store, but it also may be an indication that these apps may be heading over to the Xbox One soon. We would love to hear your thoughts on what this could mean, so be sure to drop us a comment below!
