If you own an Xbox One or an older Xbox 360, you may be aware that Microsoft’s popular video game consoles are not only used to play video games: a lot of entertainment services are indeed available on both consoles to enjoy movies, TV shows and listening to online music. However, we just spotted that official Twitter account @XboxEntertain that used to share content deals on the Xbox store will become inactive starting March 22:

Have you followed@WindowsStoreyet?Our last tweet goes out March 22, so don’t forget!pic.twitter.com/DG9VWqBsj7

With this last tweet, Microsoft is pushing its followers to follow the Windows Store Twitter account instead, making it clear that the new unified Windows 10 store is where Xbox users can now get all their media content from Microsoft. After the company removed Xbox branding from its newGroove Musicand Films and TV services on its new Windows 10 operating system, tt’s another sign showing that Microsoft doesn’t want to focus its Xbox brand on entertainment anymore.

The @XboxEntertain account which has been created in July 2009 currently has 128K followers, that’s 41K more than the @WindowsStore account which has been created in January 2010, so we’ll see if the Windows Store account will gain more followers in the coming months. Please tell us in the comments if you think Microsoft is right to push its users towards its new Windows Store!
