If you’re a fan or avid user of the official Windows 10 Twitter app, then you might want to avoid installing the latest update and consider disabling automatic app updates altogether. Users of the app have reported that the latest Windows 10 Twitter app update is causing crashing issues at launch on Windows 10.

The issue with the most recent version 5.3.3.0 updatewas posted to Redditby userHernandez2000. Additionally, upon further examination (and as seen below), many recent reviewers for the Offical Twitter app in the Windows Store also seem to have the same problem.

To avoid an automatic installation of the update that is causing this issue, you should temporarily disable automatic app updates. To do this, Open the Windows Store app, Click your profile icon in the top right corner and select Settings, and disable the switch seen under “Update apps automatically.”

Have you experienced this issue after the latest Twitter update? This issue can be quite frustrating because it may render the app useless. Let us know by dropping us a comment below.
