Today,the OneNote team announced that Learning Tools for OneNotemoves out of preview and is now generally available. Currently, Learning Tools is available in English only, with more languages to be supported soon. Previously,Learning Tools was releasedas a preview for OneNote in January 2016. Learning Tools was conceived in a Microsoft Hackathon. Almost by accident, Learning Tools was born and with it, the mission to help everyone who uses OneNote began.

Since Learning Tools for OneNote released, many teachers have reported positive strides their students have made by using Learning Tools. Lauren Pittman of Holy Spring Elementary School in Georgia describes how using Learning Tools has helped her students improve their reading and writing skills in this video.

Learning Tools has new improvements and capabilities that are available now or coming soon:

Learning Tools for OneNote has helped many students across the country achieve substantial improvements in academics. Students’ reading speeds, reading comprehension, and writing skills have improved, providing a better education experience.
