A new update has rolled out to the Skype + Messaging app for Windows 10 Mobile and desktop. Microsoft did not provide a change log, which is quite typical from the Redmond giant if the update doesn’t contain any new features or noteworthy improvements. However, we’re seeing performance improvements throughout the app, especially on older Lumia devices.

What exactly is this app? Here’s the official app description: “Skype instant messaging, calling, and video calling come built into Windows 10—making it easier to use Skype to stay in touch with family and friends. Send Skype instant messages quickly right from the Messaging app. Have a few minutes to catch up? Start a video call in no time. Open Messaging, Skype video, or Phone from your All apps list to get going.”

Grab the app from the download link below and let us know in the comments section if you notice any new improvements. Hopefully, this update resolves any battery drain or message syncing issues. For those wondering, the updated build number will be 2.13.20000.0 once you install it.
