Microsoft finally launched its inaugural flagship store, at 677 Fifth Ave. in New York City, after six long years of waiting for just the right real estate to become available. The store joins Microsoft’s 110 retail outlets in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico in highlighting Microsoft’s hardware and software solutions.

So, what makes this new location a “flagship store,” you ask? Well, it’s not just the fact that it spans 22,629 square feet, the largest Microsoft Store to date. The location also features some additional accoutrements:

Microsoft is kicking off the new flagship location with a community concert at Rockefeller Center featuring rapper PitBull. The company is also giving more than $3 million in products to New York education and youth charitable organizations, as part of more than $81 million Microsoft has donated to celebrate Microsoft Store launches. If you live anywhere close to New York City, stop bythe new flagship Microsoft Storeand say hello. We’re sure the staff there will appreciate the traffic.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
