Microsoft just finished updating both Windows 10 and Windows 10 Mobile Windows Insider builds, updating Windows 10 to 11082.1000, andWindows 10 Mobile to 10586.36. In addition, non-Windows Insiders have also been updated on the desktop version ofWindows 10 to 10586.36, making a nicely wrapped package out of it all. With that, Microsoft has announced that it’s done with Windows Insider updates for the year, as engineers and corporate vice presidents alike head off for the holidays.  The announcement was made in a blog post coinciding with today’s Windows 10 Mobile update:

I also want to set expectations for new builds for both PC and mobile between now and the end of 2015. This time of year many of us take the opportunity to spend time with family and take some vacation time, so the engineering team will be running at a slower pace and many of our key people who drive our flighting process will be out (including me) This means we won’t be releasing any new builds to Windows Insiders until January, for both PC and mobile.

Those words come from Gabe Aul, who has done a heck of a job leading and building out the Windows Insiders program.  We’re excited to learn what’s coming up in the new year, everything from Redstone, toEdge extensions, toWindows 10 Mobile on “select” Windows Phones, to who knows what else. As always, stay tuned to WinBeta for the latest news!
