Back in July of 2016, Inda’s Supreme court concluded that Microsoft, Google, and Yahoo had violated sex determination laws. Now a little over two months later from the original ruling, the three major search engines have all finally agreed to ban sex determination searches in India (Via Bloomberg)
Examples of searches included in the ban are searches for female foeticide and infanticide. There is, however, the legitimate concern that a ban on searches would also block non-promotional content such as research reports and news articles. On this matter, India’s health ministry did not immediately say how this would affect the ban. According to Bloomberg, Google, nonetheless, has taken action to prevent searches and advertising to comply with local laws. Microsoft, though, did not respond to Bloomberg’s requests for comments.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
