Microsoft has long been active in the education industry;showcasing new technologyto be used in classrooms and offering numerousdiscounts for students. Their Surface tablet has been especiallywell acceptedin educational institutions due to its hybrid nature of being all of a desktop, laptop and tablet in one package.

Microsoft is taking advantage of the tablets popularity in education by offering you a chance to win 15 of its latest Surface Pro 3’s that will be donated directly to a school of your choosing. All you have to do is build a lesson in the Arts, Language Arts, Math, Science, or Social Studies fields using PowerPoint 2013, then use Microsoft’s Office Mix tool to transform it into something more engaging, and that’s it!

Microsoft will then select 15 finalists based on the creativity and originality of the Mixes and how applicable they to be used in a learning environment. The grand prize will result in 15 Surface Pro 3’s donated to your chosen K-12 school. Additionally, 5 first prize winners will also get one SP3 each to donate to their favorite schools.

The contest is open to US-only residents. So if you’re in the US, then here’s your chance to give back to the school you grew up in. If you weren’t one of the “cool kids” back in the day, this should earn you some massive hallway cred, even though you’ve graduated already.
