Evan BoyleaSoftware Engineer at Azure Search, has taken to theofficial Microsoft Azure blogto announce that Microsoft has placed Azure Search blob and table indexer portal support into a preview.

This support means that Office documents, HTML,  PDF, and manyother documentsare now searchable from the Import Data Wizard.  Seen above, the support comes in the form of a simple user interface which is designed to help users pick and choose accounts and containers from within a subscription. Ultimately, though, the blob indexer can detect metadata fields, suggest indexes, and open all documents and extract text into the content field.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
