Unity Technologies makes a popular cross-platform game development tool that makes it easier for developers two write a game once and publish it to multiple platforms. The tool maker is so popular, in fact, that theyjust announced receiving $181 million in Series C investing funds, meaning they’re now even better equipped to continue making great game development tools.

Microsoft supports game development on Windows machines with the Visual Studio Tools for Unity, which justreceived an update to version 2.3. VSTU 2.3 offers the following updates:
