Microsoft Researchhas started their annual Faculty Summitfor a series of talks on how technological innovation can benefit both business and society. The 17th meeting of the summit started with a fireside chat and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, who spoke about the key role Microsoft Research has in continuing to deliver breakthroughs capable of making big impacts across multiple industries.

Over 600 leading academics and researchers are in attendance at the summit and they will be discussing ways to collaborate on the most pressing and important research questions in computer science and beyond. As noted by Microsoft in this official blog post, Daron Green, the managing director for Microsoft Research’s Outreach program, also opened the summit with a call for researchers to utilize the newest machine learning and artificial intelligence tools, all publicly and freely available to academia.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
