As the one-year anniversary ofWindows 10fast approaches, Microsoft appears to be firing up their marketing machine to show the world how Windows 10 PC’s can let them do more. In a new series of TV commercials, the Redmond giant is highlighting the story of blogger Doyin Richards, and examples of how Windows 10 helps him do more.
The first ad, titled “Meet Doyin Richards”, highlights how Windows 10 keeps Doyin Richards organized. For a brief moment in the 30-second spot, Doyin shows his blog through the Microsoft Edge Browser, and then goes on to mention how he can use his face to unlock his computer using Windows Hello. He then moves on to show off how he can use Cortana to remind him of playdates for his kids, saying that, “MacBooks are not able to do that.”
The second commercial, “Doyin Richards Does more with Inking,” shows off how Windows 10 is great because of its Inking features. In the 15-second spot, Doyin mentions that his daughters needed to go to a costume party, and that he needed inspiration. Then, after, the camera pans to him using OneNote to draw a costume over a photo of his daughter. Once again, the commercial ends with, “MacBooks are not able to do that.”
The third commercial in the series, “Doyin Richards Does More with Cortana,” is dedicated to Cortana. Similar to the scene seen in the 30-second commercial, in this 15-second spot, Doyin Richards details how he uses Cortana to make his life easier. He asks Cortana to set up a playdate, and ends by saying, “I need that in my world.”
Lastly, the final commercial of the series, “Doyin Richards Does More with Windows Hello,” highlights the power Windows Hello. Once again similar to what was seen in the longer 30-second spot, Doyin details how Windows 10 is great because of its value for privacy. He goes into how his face can unlock his computer, and once more ends with, “With MacBooks you’re not able to do that.”
These new commercials put a more human take on the latest Microsoft operating system. We would love to hear your thoughts on the commercials, so be sure to drop us a comment below!

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).
For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
