Earlier this month, Microsoft published a video showcasing DirectX 12 and the impact it has on Windows gaming. That video was eventually pulled and republished today during Build 2016, showcasing how Windows 10 is the best Windows ever for gaming — at least according to Microsoft. If you haven’t already seen it, now is your chance to check it out.
In the video, Microsoft showcases how DirectX 12 offers unparalleled graphic fidelity” and “up to 20% increase in GPU performance” as well as “up to 50% improvement in overall CPU usage.” These are definitely some amazing improvements.
“DirectX 12 is a ground-breaking Microsoft technology that gives game developers the ability to harness the full capabilities of a PC’s GPU(s) and raise the bar on graphic fidelity and immersive gameplay,” the video description reads. You can watch the vide below.
For those that did not know, DirecX is a collection of APIs designed to help Windows run multimedia content as efficiently as possible. DirectX 12 is the latest version which improves the quality of media processing, making your gaming experience so much better.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).
For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
