In the latest behind-the-scenes video to be released about the Surface 2, Microsoft shows off the display of the Surface 2 and reveals a little about the research, design and manufacturing process.
There’s no denying that the latest generation of Surface, like its predecessor, has a stunning display and this is certainly not by accident. A great deal of work went into ensuring that every aspect of the screen was sure to impress.
“A common remark when people first see a Surface 2 device up close is how great the display looks. That’s especially pleasing to the Surface team because so much effort went into screen performance,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post.
The Surface 2 worked to ensure the most accurate color reproduction possible on the 16:9 1080p screen – accuracy has been improved by 46 percent.A new bonding technique was developed to help reduce screen reflection to around half that of many tablets on the market, allowing for longer periods of usage without eyestrain.
Check out the video, which we have embedded below for your viewing pleasure, to see Microsoft scientist Stevie Bathiche showcase the Surface 2’s impressive display.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
