This past holiday week-end has been exceptional for online retailers, withCyber Monday 2016 claiming the title of the biggest online shopping day everwith $3.4 billion spent online on a single day. Electronics and gaming consoles were once again among the best selling products this year, andMicrosoft’s Xbox outsold Sony’s PlayStationon Black Friday according to a recent report from Adobe Digital insights.
Today,Polygonobtained additional data from eBay confirming that both next-gen consoles enjoyed great momentum in the US during this holiday week-end. According to the online retailer, the PlayStation 4 sold the fastest onBlack Fridaywith one unit sold every 20 seconds, beating the Xbox One (one sold every minute) and Nintendo’s NES Classic (one sold every two minutes). However, Microsoft’s Xbox One quadrupled its selling speed on Cyber Monday with one unit sold every 15 seconds, which was twice as fast as Playstation 4 sales that day.
eBay doesn’t have extensive sales numbers for the holidays weekend yet, though Polygon usedeBay’s DataLabs websiteto found out that 13,353 new Xbox One consoles were sold beyond November 23:
As a reminder, the Xbox One was thebest-selling console for four months in a row in Octoberbut Sony isreportedly leading this monthaccording to Adobe Digital Insights. That was to be expected, as the Japanese company launched its new PlayStation 4 Pro on November 10 with a heavy marketing campaign around bringing 4K gaming to consoles.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
