Microsoft and PayPal Here are teaming up to make point-of-sale (POS) systems better and more convenient for small business owners. Later this year, small business owners will get a chance to get a new PayPal Here card reader and a PayPal Here app for Windows 8.1 across the US.

Small business owners usually need laptops to handle inventory, payroll, and scheduling. Surface Pro 3 can handle much of the legwork done by a traditional PC and its portability helps small business owners complete tasks while on the move. Amy Berend, the owner of Bridal Boutique in Texas, has nothing but good things to say about her business experience with the Surface Pro 3:

I love working with brides and helping them find their perfect dress. But the number of details and intricacies that go into choosing your wedding dress and accessories can be stressful. By using Surface Pro 3 and PayPal Here, I can actually bring the device into the dressing room with me. I can work with the bride directly to customize her dress and accessories orders in my system and accept payment on the spot. Additionally, with Surface Pro 3 I can photograph my inventory for posting online, manage my employees, and manage my budget, which I wasn’t able to do before when I used an iPad. Surface Pro 3 and PayPal Here have helped make doing business easier, faster and more convenient.
