With the recent Windows Blue leak, many hidden features are beginning to emerge from the new operating system. It appears Microsoft may be working on a new way of searching in Windows Blue, the feature is still heavily in development and doesn’t work properly.
The Search charm in Windows Blue appears to be getting an update, as enabling a few hidden registry tweaks presents you with an incomplete version of the Search charm that allows searching on the web and locally. Currently, the web search feature is broken, along with most of the charms UI, however searching for local apps works just fine. Microsoft will obviously fix many of the problems seen in the video above before Windows Blue hits RTM.
This feature fits well with a recent rumour that claimed that Windows Blue would improve dramatically on searching via the Search charm. We can’t wait to see the final outcome of the charms new features!
