A little over a month ago, we reported thatMicrosoft was set to deliver new educationaltools to schools this year, helping educate and empower young minds. Of these tools, Microsoft has already made a significant update to itsOneNote applicationthat now allows for classrooms (and faculty) to share notebooks. However, Microsoft is not just interested in providing tools for productivity; they are also interested in educating individuals on how to use them.From November 22ndto the 24thMicrosoft is set to celebrate NYCATE’s 50-year Anniversary at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center in Rochester New York. NYCATE (New York State Association for Computers and Technologies in Education), is an organization whose purpose is to help educators transform the classroom with technology. To aid in their efforts, Microsoft will have a host of educators and trainers hold break-out sessions to help students and teachers learn tools to make them more productive.
To celebrate NYSCATE’s 50-YEAR ANNIVERSARY, they’ve lined up at this year’s conference some of the most celebrated, tech-savvy speakers in the country. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit numerous, highly informative breakout sessions, attend hands-on workshops in the latest technology for the classroom, visit over 75 exhibitors, and network and socialize with hundreds of your peers that are dedicated to incorporating and exposing technology to students in the classroom.
This conference has three main goals.
Re-invent Productivitywith Office 365 Education to save teachers time and stay organized.Build the Intelligent Cloudwith Office 365 Education that fosters 21stcentury skills for college and career readiness (collaboration, creation, communication and creation) across any device.More Personalized Computing– Digital inking and personalized learning with Windows 10.
Before the conference even begins, there will be pre-conference training on both Saturday and Sunday, the 21stand 22ndrespectively. Microsoft and NYSCATE encourage participants to bring their own devices in which they will be able to install free educational subscriptions ofOffice 365.
