Microsoft’s Mike Ybarra revealed today that Groove Music will have background music on the Xbox One soon and that ability will come to other apps too later on.
Background music is a highly requested feature on the Xbox One and it will soon be available for all Preview members to try out.
Groove app supports background music in Preview, it will soon to all. Other apps on their way soon as well!

Mike mentions that the feature is already available, but corrects himself in a tweet he posted shortly after:
Correction: will support in Preview very soon. Not yet.https://t.co/r5MNNcyC2y

If your Xbox is enrolled in the Preview Program, you will receive the update “very soon” and you will be able to play your favourite music while playing your favourite games, however, not all apps will support it at the same time, as it is up to individual apps to implement the new feature.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
