For the last survivors of the Windows Phone era, some were granted a reprieve on their decision to stick with the platform when well-known US banking institution Bank of America confirmed it wasworking on a Windows 10 app late 2015. Early in 2015, the bank seemingly added its own pronounced nail in the coffin of Windows Phone when it pulled its rather dated Windows Phone 8 app from the mobile platform.
Fortunately, the removal of the app was more of a security concern than an outright dismissive act. As BoA developers toil on a new app, Windows 10 Mobile users have been teased over the past few months with screenshots of the newly developed app as well as a possible release date for anxious customers.
Unfortunately, the time many thought to be the official app release date has turned out to be more a “limited rollout date” set in preparation for a full summer release if things go according to plan.Monday, March 28, 2016, was thought to be the day BoA of would roll out its new appto Windows 10 Mobile devices, coincidentally, a few days before Microsoft’s developer conference.
However, the BoA Help Twitter handle has responded to an interested user by stating that developers hope to have the app available to customers by this summer.
@aceoforderWe’ve started a limited internal rollout of our Windows 10 Mobile app and are working to bring it to you this summer. ^kt

With the last day of summer nearing the end of September, it could be a while before Windows 10 Mobile users see the new app without jumping through some early beta-testing hoops. Despite the unfortunate lack of details on a particular release date, Windows 10 Mobile users can find some solace in knowing an app has been developed and is currently getting its kinks worked out.
