NVIDIA launches new Windows 10 GeForce drivers, “just in time for Batman: Arkham Knight”

Microsoft is nearing completion of Windows 10, and NVIDIA has been keeping up with a regular release of new graphics drivers especially suited for the new operating system. Today, the graphics card company released new WHQL certified drivers for both32 bitand64 bitsystems for a range of their GeForce graphics cards, including cards in the 400, 500, 600, 700, and 900 series. The drivers are designated as 353.30, with a release date of 2015.6.22 (the full driver version as shown in driver properties is 10.18.13.5330, with a 6/17 release date).

NVIDIA is promoting the new drivers as game ready:

Just in time for the highly anticipated title Batman: Arkham Knight this new GeForce Game Ready driver ensures you’ll have the best possible gaming experience. With support for GeForce SLI technology and one-click game setting optimizations within GeForce Experience, you’ll have the best possible performance and image quality during gameplay.

NVIDIA has stayed in step with Windows 10 as it moves through the beta process, and previously releasedan early set of Windows 10 WHQL drivers, and thefirst set of DirectX 12 driversfor select graphics cards.

I was able to install the new drivers for the pair of GeForce 610 cards in this system, although the video locked up with black screens during the process. I let it run for a few minutes and then rebooted, and the system came back with the new drivers installed and no further apparent problems. Your experience may differ, of course, so take the usual precautions, and check that the drivers are indeed intended for your particular card or cards.

Oh, andBatman: Arkham Knight comes out tomorrow, June 23rd, on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
