After announcing its intentions earlier this year, Microsoft has today confirmed to partners that its certification exams can now be taken online, and that the online exams are available to more than 20 countries outside the United States. This makes it a lot easier for partners to take the certification exams without having to travel to testing facilities.
“We all have different ways of learning and test-taking. Some people prefer lectures, while others enjoy hands-on labs. Some prefer a traditional classroom environment, while others wish to study (and test) from their comfortable home or office. We recognize there are differences in style, and also logistical concerns – some people simply cannot take time out of a busy week to travel for a class or test.” – Burke Fewel, Director of Partner Capability Development Management, Microsoft.
Microsoft has chosen Pearson VUE as its exam delivery provider which requires participants have a webcam connected during the exam so that the exam moderator can visually sweep the room to determine if any unauthorized materials are available. Right now, participants can choose from 50 exams available to take online, with more to be added in the future.
In order for participants to prepare for the exams, the software giant is also making the Microsoft Labs Online service available to all Silber and Gold level Microsoft partners. This enables them to purchase digital courseware, provide technical readiness for employees and help them study for competency exams among other offerings.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
