Microsoft has run beta programs for its software and services for years, but there’s never been anything quite like the Windows Insiders program. Initially slated to be capped at 50,000 users or so, the program has grown to include over 5 million Windows Insiders, testing out new builds, joining Fast Rings or Slow Rings, and getting to new builds in some cases earlier than those working at Microsoft.

It’s been an unqualified success, thanks to the Red Button, Gabe Aul, and now Dona Sarkar, who has big plans for the program as we move from the Anniversary Update to the next phase of testing, only known so far as “RS2.”

But now that the program has a chance to take a breather with next week’s release of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, we thought we’d take an informal little poll and find out what you think of being a Windows Insider:

See the poll results

Has it been fun for you? Do you feel like you’re contributing? Has the pace of new builds been too much, too little, or just right? Let us know what you thing of the Windows Insider program and how it’s going for you in the comments below!
