Can Windows 10 be a gamer’s OS, even more than previous Windows versions? While the question is still in the air, at least to its maker Microsoft, the answer is clear as day. Or so it seems to want us to lead us to believe, with rumors surfacing of yet another high-profile game franchise making the jump from Xbox exclusivity to Windows 10. Or two.

According toWPDang, whose arcane Chinese-written knowledge has been given a nice sum-up byWindows Central, Microsoft may have plans to bring Forza Motorsport 6 to Windows 10 as a Windows Store exclusive. Not stopping there, Gears of War 4, Scalebound, and even the yet-to-be-revealed Forza Horizon 3 are all rumored to be coming to the Windows 10 Store in addition to the Xbox.

While the rumours sound a little too good to be true (it’s almost the whole Xbox One exclusive lineup after all) and should be taken with a grain of salt, they can’t be easily discounted. Just a few days ago, another of Xbox One’s highly anticipated exclusives, Quantum Break,has its Windows 10 Store version made official, coming free with an Xbox One version pre-order.Microsoft has also confirmedWindows 10-exclusive versions of current and upcoming Xbox games ReCore, Halo Wars 2, Killer Instinct, Gears of War Ultimate Edition among others.

Microsoft’s last attempt to regulate gaming on Windows -the now-defunct “Games for Windows” – went to the software hell of user and developer disdain along with Windows Vista, mostly due to bad user experience, heavy competition from Steam, and the dreadful Games for Windows Live service, despite incorporating many good ideas that make Xbox successful.

With the Windows Store, Microsoft may have a better chance this time around, given how familiar app stores are to the current generation of users. The company need to do a better job than the lackluster effort of Xbox Live games in the Store though, and with rumors of big releases oncoming, we can only hope that they keep up the momentum.
