Today is World Wild Life Day, a time to remember, reflect and experience wild animal or more importantly, a day “to celebrate and raise awareness of the world’s wild animals and plants.” However, not everyone has access to a Safari or the San Diego Zoo in their backyard, so to commemorate this day, Skype in the Classroom is bringing the animals to your class. In collaboration with theWorld Wild Life Organization, the theme for this year is, “The future of wildlife is in our hands.”
Knowing that Microsoft’s Skype application is available on almost all platforms, accessing video feed can literally be in our hands. To experience World Wild Life day you can join in on a Skype Virtual Field Trip or Skype Lesson, to experience animals you may never get to see in person and gain valuable knowledge on different species..
