If you had previously been interested in Skype Translator when it was first announced as a preview program back in December, but didn’t sign up or never got off the waitlist, there is good news for you.

Today, the team at Skype removed the sign-up process to participate in the preview and Skype Translator is now available for anyone to download from the Windows Store.  In this preview Skype will translate spoken language in English, Spanish, Italian, and Mandarin, and will translate text in 50 languages.

The announcement was made onSkype’s Garage and Updatesblog where they also demonstrate an impactful use case of Skype Translator from a non-profit development organization based in New York that provides financial, health and human development services to women in Latin America. If you’re interested in giving the preview a try click the link below and download the Skype Translator from the Windows Store.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
