Over the years look of Windows has drastically changed, and it has been slowly moving to touchscreen devices in terms of design. Most parts of Windows 10 got a new look, and the same goes for Windows 10 battery indicator.

One of the greatest visual changes is the new Modern Settings app and already few options from Control Panel have been moved entirely to the new Settings app. With Control Panel and its components moving to the new look it’s no wonder to see other sections updated as well. Speaking of visual updates today we’re going to see how has battery indicator changed in Windows 10.

Battery indicator is used to check the status of your battery if you’re on a device such as laptop or tablet, and the first thing that you’ll notice about battery indicator is that it’s a lot bigger than in previous versions of Windows.

This is because Windows 10 is designed to be touchscreen friendly and with bigger battery indicator information you can easily use it with your fingers. As for the design, it has been changed as well and new battery indicator comes with solid white background and without borders so it matches the look of other Modern Apps.

New design looks clean and since the indicator takes more space the fonts are bigger and more readable so you can easily see how much battery life you have left, and you won’t be distracted by graphics or extra options.

The new minimalistic design looks great but instead of having two options such as More power options and Adjust screen brightness like in previous versions now we only have More battery info option. This isn’t a bad design choice since it saves space and it makes the battery indicator more clean and more important data more visible.

As you can see, new battery indicator in Windows 10 has been changed for better, and with its new design it will show you important data better than before.
