The Microsoft.com homepage has received an update that revamps the layout of the website. The newly updated site has large images, easily distinguished sections, and an overall easy to navigate layout. The new design also leaves room for a large feature photo and story which at the moment features “girls who love science.”
Below the featured image is a bar for ‘support’, ‘downloads’, ‘apps’, ‘security’, and ‘shop’. There’s also a very easy distinction between ‘For Home’ and ‘For Work’ with four large boxes being contained in two separate sections. Microsoft has an ever increasing range of products and services. Their customers include users from a wide variety of sectors and the new site layout makes it significantly easier to navigate to a specific area.
At the very bottom of the site, excluding lists of links to other Microsoft websites, is another featured story. The current story is titled “Technology disrupted: Meet 11 women leaders changing the innovation ecosystem.” March is Women’s History Month and Microsoft is featuring women from inside and outside of the technology industry through multiple websites. In addition to the newly designed Microsoft.com featuring two stories about women, a search result on Bing for ‘women’s history month’ yields a well-designed layout displaying influential women in history and a summary of Women’s History Month.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).
For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
