Microsoft have officially released the Windows Server 2012 R2 Preview to the public today, allowing anyone to test it out for free. Windows Sever 2012 R2 is similar to the Windows 8.1 Preview, meaning the Start Button, Boot-to-Desktop and more is included. We’ve made a short video demoing such features.

A word of warning before watching, this video does not go over actual server features. I am not a Server guru therefore I’m not someone to be talking about Server features, this video is strictly for the most obvious changes, like the Start Button. If you want to see Server specific features, this is not your video.

Check back at WinBeta tomorrow for full coverage of the BUILD 2013 conference, included a hands on with the new Windows 8.1 Preview!

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
