Today has been filled with news on all sorts of topics ranging from Windows 10, HoloLens, Azure, and much more. Microsoft unveiledVisual Studio Codefor Mac and Ubuntu, a lightweight code-based editor that aims to have app developers from rival platforms make the gentle transition to Windows 10. On top of all this, Microsoft has also released Visual Studio 2015 Release Candidate (RC), available now for download.
Visual Studio 2015, unlike previous versions of the development software, adds new tools for developers to target a wide variety of platforms — such as mobile, web, server, and the cloud. With Visual Studio 2015 RC, developers can begin working to create something beautiful for the Unified Windows Platform, which encompasses phones, tablets, PCs, Xbox, IoT, and HoloLens.
“For developers targeting the Windows ecosystem, Visual Studio 2015 RC provides great tools for building apps and games for the Universal Windows Platform spanning that run across all Windows 10 devices, including phones, tablets, PCs, Xbox, IoT andHoloLens. With new UI Debugging Tools, an improvedXAMLdesigner and enhanced profiling and debugging features, developing apps for Windows has never been easier,”Microsoft explains.
With Visual Studio 2015, developers have the tools needed to build cross-platform apps that run not only on Windows 10, but also iOS, and Android — using Apache Cordova, Xamarin, or C++. For the web and server, you can utilize Python or Node.js technology, as well as C#, Visual Basic, or F#.
There is also a new Diagnostics Tools window that gives developers access to key performance and memory usage information during debug sessions, and much more. GitHub integration has also been added, providing easy access to open source projects.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.
Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
