Season 6 of Game of Thrones is coming, and starting today Xbox One owners are the next to get to watch it (when it comes) without having to leave the comfort of their gaming experience or the need for a TV package. Yes, the HBO Now app has been launched on the Xbox One.

The HBO Now app was first launched exclusively for Apple’s iOS platform more than a year ago. Even though the content can still be streamed to other devices, that exclusivity has remained until today. The HBO Now app can now be spotted on the Xbox Store. Besides providing you with unlimited access to all the content of HBO for a monthly fee, including hit TV series, comedies, and music shows, the app also incorporate voice and gesture control via Kinect.

All in all, HBO Now is a fine addition to Xbox One’s repertoire of multimedia app and great contribution to Microsoft’s vision for its gaming machine as the all-in-one entertainment hub, especially now that usage of these services are no longer tied to the Xbox Live Gold membership. It should also be a competitive advantage for the Xbox One:the machine’s biggest competitor reportedly still doesn’t have the app.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
