Welcome to another episode of the WinBeta Podcast. Each week we discuss the top Microsoft related news. This week we cover Windows 10 download numbers and updates, projects Astoria and Islandwood for porting apps to Windows, Windows 10 Mobile Build 10240, Lumia 950 photo leaks, some of the biggest Microsoft related stories from Gamescom, and more.We want to apologize for the technical difficulties we had on the show this week. Due to unexpected problems with live streaming, this week’s episode only has video from Zac. The audio is fine and we still had a good show other than the video streaming issues. During the scramble to get the show running without video, we also accidentally omitted this week’s poll results. In this week’s poll we asked our readers when they think the new Lumia flagships will be announced. 47% of over 500 voters believe they’ll be launched in October, 35% think August or September and 17% and 1% believe they’ll launch in November and December respectively.

Radu Tyrsina has been a Windows fan ever since he got his first PC, a Pentium III (a monster at that time).

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
