Consider this scenario — you are at home or at work and you have multiple tabs open on your browser. All of a sudden, loud music or audio begins blaring through your speakers and you immediately attempt to lower your speakers or shift through all your tabs to see where the audio was coming from. What if your browser could tell you which tab is playing audio?

In Windows 10 build 10122, when a tab in the Microsoft Edge browser is actively playing audio, a little icon will appear. This isn’t an earth shattering feature, nor is this something new (Chrome already does this), but those of you who prefer to use Edge will now know where that pesky audio is coming from. Sometimes video ads will auto-play and they can be quite annoying. Now you won’t have to wonder where the noise is coming from.

You can take a look at the photo below to see the icon in the active tab. Compare the photo below with the photo above depicting a tab without any audio playback.

For most of the kids of his age, the Internet was an amazing way to play and communicate with others, but he was deeply impressed by the flow of information and how easily you can find anything on the web.

Prior to founding Windows Report, this particular curiosity about digital content enabled him to grow a number of sites that helped hundreds of millions reach faster the answer they’re looking for.
