Windows 10 Build 14965 is now available to Fast Ring Insiders

Microsoft just pushed a new Windows 10 build to Insiders on the Fast Ring. Build 14965 is available for bothWindows 10andWindows 10 Mobile.

This is the secondCreators Updatebuild for Windows 10 and while it doesn’t bring any new 3D features, it actually contains some interesting additions, along with a few updates for the existing apps and services. So, let’s talk about the additions one by one.

Probably the biggest addition of Windows 10 build 14965 is the introduction of thevirtual touchpad for second monitors. When you connect your Windows 10 tablet to an external display, there’s no need to attach a mouse to it because a virtual touchpad will pop up. As soon as the connection is initiated, the virtual touchpad will appear where the notifications are and you’ll be able to control your mouse pointer with it.

The new build also brings a huge update forSticky Notes. The tool now features flight detection for several countries, URL and email recognition, time recognition, phone number recognition, and more. Users are currently far from satisfied with Windows 10’s version ofSticky Notes, so updates like this one are a must for Microsoft if the company wants users to stick with Sticky Notes.

Additionally, the new build also improvesWindows Ink Workspaceand theHyper-V VMexperience. Improving Windows Ink Workspace is important because the company prepares the field for theCreators Update, where using a pen is going to be more important than ever.

And finally, build 14965 improves thesearch bar in the Registry Editor. Microsoftintroduced the search bara few builds ago, so it now just wants to polish it as much as possible before shipping the feature with the Creators Update next year.
